THE KEY POINT
This guide covers withdrawing an item to Steam. DMarket’s inventory icons distinguish items held by DMarket from items already in your Steam inventory.
01
First establish where the item is held
The official withdrawal article uses a DMarket icon for items available to withdraw from its inventory and a Steam icon for items already in Steam. Looking at the icon helps avoid requesting delivery of an item that is already on the Steam side.
Record the item name and location before opening a ticket. “The DMarket inventory shows this item, but Steam does not” is a specific delivery question. “The item has a Steam icon” suggests checking the Steam inventory and its filters first.
02
A trade lock must expire before withdrawal
DMarket says it cannot bypass a Steam trade lock. Its withdrawal instructions also identify Trade Protection and Trade Lock states with a countdown. Use the actual item timer as the starting point instead of treating a disabled withdrawal control as a missing-item error.
Keep a screenshot of the restriction and its end time. If the timer has expired but the action is still unavailable, tell support that sequence explicitly. Do not send the item to a person who claims they can remove the lock manually.
03
Keep track of each withdrawal offer
The operator describes selecting the items and using Withdraw. Items can produce separate or combined offers. Its current help says an offer has ten minutes to be accepted and that an expired offer needs to be created again.
Use the deadline shown on your live offer if it changes. If several offers appear, match the items and references one by one; accepting one offer does not establish that every requested item has arrived. After completion, verify the item in Steam rather than relying only on the earlier site notification.
04
Separate item delivery from money withdrawal
DMarket can show several financial and inventory states at the same time. This article does not cover a cash payout or locked P2P sale proceeds. A ticket about those balances needs the payment or sale reference rather than an item-withdrawal reference.
For an item issue, our suggested report includes its displayed location, lock state, withdrawal reference, offer ID and the last completed step. Say whether the offer is missing, expired or accepted with an item still absent. That provides a clear question without exposing login credentials or payment data.
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Quick checklist
- Check the DMarket or Steam inventory icon.
- Record any lock countdown before retrying.
- Match every offer to the selected items.
- State that the request concerns item delivery, not a cash payout.
