THE KEY POINT
The headline is only a starting point. Read the conditions attached to the actual promotion.
01
Find the terms tied to the offer
Keep the official offer address and the version you were shown. General website terms and the conditions of a specific promotion may answer different questions. If the banner and linked terms disagree, ask the operator to explain before relying on the offer.
02
Read the details that change the outcome
- Who can use it: account status, location and previous participation.
- What qualifies: the exact action, amount or method required.
- What expires: the claim deadline and any later use deadline.
- What the reward is: a balance, item, discount or another benefit.
- What limits apply: permitted use and any cashout or withdrawal conditions.
03
Keep the balance types separate
The Gambling Commission’s glossary distinguishes deposited money from restricted promotional funds in its guidance for Great Britain. This is a useful reminder to ask what a displayed balance represents; it is not a statement that every listed partner follows those rules.
A promotional balance is not proof of immediately withdrawable money. Ask the operator what restrictions apply to that particular benefit and where the full terms are written.
04
Turn unclear wording into a specific question
Instead of asking whether a bonus is “good”, quote the unclear condition and ask how it applies to your intended action. For example: “Does this deadline apply to claiming the offer or to using the reward?”
If a material condition cannot be confirmed, keep it marked unknown. An affiliate link and a copied code do not fill that gap.

Need the details for a particular website?
The code directory records each partner’s code, referral method and offer status. Use the relevant partner page when your question also involves one of those details.
Partner pages may include affiliate links. A listing does not confirm a reward or account eligibility.
